FAQ

How does this work?

It all begins with an idea. No matter how far along you are in the design process you will most likely need a 3D model or technical drawings at some point in the production of anything. Reach out and DexTech Design will meet you where you are.

Once a job has been paid for the design of your part will begin.

Through this process you will be notified of progress and be presented drawings for you to review.

Designs will be refined until they are approved by you.

What do I need to provide?

At the most basic example you just need an idea. Beyond that if you have any constraints please provide those.

A constraint in design is a limit or rule that shapes how something can be created. It can be things like time, budget, materials, or size. Constraints help guide the design process by keeping it focused and practical.

Drawings, pictures, explanations, etc. will always help in the design process.

How are jobs priced?

DexTech Design’s primary purpose is to offer a great design service at a fair price. $40 per hour is the rate charged. Once you get in touch you will be contact to discuss your project and once enough information is gathered a quote will be sent your way.

The price of a job is determined by the design constraints and the requested turnaround time.

All of these elements will be explained once contacted.

Can you produce any parts?

While DexTech Design does not produce parts ourselves we can certainly facilitate the production of your parts or prototypes.

I want _____ but no one will make it?

Just because a CAD model can be made does not mean it can be manufactured as is. This is what sets DexTech Design above other designers. With professional experience designing parts for manufacturing you can rest assured that any design you receive from us will be manufacturable.
